Many of the goods sold at the Cox Auction House are consigned by individuals such as dealers, liquidators, housewives or people relocating. Other auction situations include estate settlements, household dispersal (divorce), and spring-cleaning.
If you have things that you would like to sell at auction, contact us here at the Cox Auction House (814) 664-7073. Or, bring your salable goods to us, no appointment necessary, on Tuesdays between 9:00am and 7:00pm. You will be given a consignment receipt for your items. A number will be assigned to your consignment and each item will be marked with that number to insure that you get credit for them at the time of settlement. A standard 20% commission is charged for all consignments (commission on quilts, firearms, fine, high quality antiques and vehicles is negotiable).There is also a .25 cent charge for each transaction.
Items consigned on Tuesday are carefully arranged for auction and are sold the following Monday. A check for your consignment will be written the next day and mailed with in 10 days.
The Cox Auction House has a NO RESERVE, NO BUY BACK policy and that is NON-NEGOTIABLE. All items are sold to the highest bidder and ALL sales are final.

Consignment Policy
We will continue to accept your antiques, collectibles, guns, tools, quilts, clean used furniture, appliances and house hold goods.
Due to rising costs in waste disposal we cannot accept items with little or no value. Therefore we reserve the right to refuse any or all items brought for consignment.
Left over lawn sale loads may be rejected .
We will not accept:
Exercise equipment unless new,
Mattress and springs unless new and clean,
Console TV’s and console stereo’s,
Old appliances,
Soiled or ripped upholstered furniture,
Baby seats and other infant items,
Clothes,
Stuffed animals,
Tires unless new,
Electronic equipment unless in working condition.
There will be a disposal fee collected for any NO SALE items.
